The Visual Effects Department is a unit within Sky Creative that produces visual effects for broadcast design, branding and promotions for all Sky channels. We are now looking for a Pipeline Td to join the team. Key Responsibilities: To plan, implement and maintain an archive infrastructure for a diverse range of 2D and 3D software, including Flame, Smoke, eQ, Fusion, XSI, Maya, Max. Also maintain a multi platform, multi OS, multi software renderfarm of approx 500 cpus and exchange timely and accurate data. Undertake any additional scripting and programming required to enable the efficient delivery of vfx across the department. General VFX IT trouble shooting. So what will you bring to the role? Requirements: Excellent and provable skills in several scripting languages, including but not limited to Python, JScript, VBScript and Perl. Excellent and provable ability to write compiled code, plugins and shaders in C, C++ for XSI, Maya, Renderman and Mental Ray. Ability to communicate effectively with 2D and 3D artists to ensure they have the necessary technical environment in which to excel. Ability to communicate effectively with management to advice strategies for future planning. Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
