Kahuna Switcher Now Supports All Utah Scientific Routing Switchers

Snell & Wilcox’s Kahuna SD/HD multiformat production switcher now supports the complete range of Utah Scientific routing switchers, including legacy systems.

The Snell & Wilcox Kahuna can be deployed along with Utah Scientific routing switchers to maximize use of all available crosspoints, as in a studio setting where a large router distributes signals to multiple Kahuna systems in multiple studios. The router-switcher combination also suits mobile productions, giving the Kahuna operator the flexibility to choose from more sources.

The Kahuna production switcher integrates SD and HD inputs on the same control panel and within the same mainframe, making all SD and HD sources interchangeable. Utah Scientific routers are designed to serve a range of applications, from outdoor broadcast trucks and local broadcast stations to enterprise network operations centers. Its routers also support a variety of signal formats, including 3 Gbps HD.
